Mr. McGregor's Garden

What a magical place for people of all ages!

I absolutely adore this garden. This is how I want my garden to look - cottagey, nostalgic, rustic, and loved.  I was raised on Beatrix Potter's famous childhood stories such as Peter Rabbit, Jeremy Fisher, and so many others.  I think much of my creativity as I grew up came from the imagination provoking tales. I still like to think of rabbits in waistcoats and hedgehogs in aprons.  What an enchanting place, small but perfectly formed, full of charm and life.

As quoted by Renee Zellweger, who starred as  Beatrix in the 2006 Anglo-American biographical fiction family drama film: "Arriving in the Lake District is like the culmination of the journey we've been on these past few weeks.  It brings the whole Miss Potter story to life, to be in the places where Beatrix lived.  I have been completely stunned by the beauty of the landscape and the tranquility of the scenery."

Now tell me, doesn't that sound like the perfect garden to create in your own backyard?
